Donor Advised Fund (DAF)

A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a way to simplify your giving. You establish a DAF account with any investment company that manages donor-advised funds and direct gifts through your DAF account to the charities of your choice. If funds remain in the account after your passing, you may name children or other beneficiaries to carry on your legacy of giving.

A DAF is also not subject to the distribution requirements and certain excise taxes faced by private foundations.
